How to test your reaction time
Click the test screen to begin, wait patiently while the screen is RED, and click or press your gamepad button the instant the screen turns GREEN.
The test generates a randomized delay (1.5 to 4.5 seconds) to prevent anticipation. If you click before green, a false-start warning appears. Complete 5 consecutive rounds to establish a reliable average reflex benchmark.

Your measured test score is the sum of biological nerve transmission time, display refresh delay, and USB/Bluetooth input polling lag.
Generic reaction tests blame your nervous system for equipment latency. On a 60Hz monitor with Bluetooth, hardware delay adds 25ms to 40ms of lag before your click registers. On a 240Hz monitor with a 1000Hz wired mouse, hardware delay drops below 5ms.
What is a good reaction time?
The median human visual reaction time is 200ms to 250ms; competitive esports athletes, Formula 1 drivers, and martial artists achieve 150ms to 190ms.
Scores above 300ms reflect physical fatigue, eye strain, or significant hardware display lag. Taking the test when well-rested yields the most accurate reflection of raw biological reflex capability.
How much latency does your hardware add?
Hardware latency consists of monitor frame buffering (up to 16.6ms on 60Hz), USB polling rate intervals (1ms on 1000Hz vs 8ms on 125Hz), and switch debounce delay (8ms–15ms).
